The PC4000-11 is the second hydraulic excavators in our product range. The engine power is 1400 kW / 1875 HP @ 1800 rpm. The operating weight is from 398 - 409 ton. The shovel capacity is 22m³, the backhoe capacity 22m³. It matches from 150 to 240 U.S. ton trucks.

Safety and Visibility

Komatsu hydraulic mining excavators are designed with safety in mind, including a 45° access and egress ladder, three dedicated emergency escape systems and wide walkways, among other features. Service and maintenance points are easy to access and follow the EMERST design philosophy – delivering safer, quicker and more ergonomic service routines for maximum focus. Multiple cameras and the KomVision system provide clear and unobstructed views of the machine ensuring full visibility at a glance.

Monitoring and Control system

With the latest KOMTRAX Plus we provide intelligent data solutions. KOMTRAX Plus lets you monitor your operation and all essential details about your Komatsu machine, directly in the cabin. The information collected by KOMTRAX Plus is transmitted and request, and accessible through intelligent digital solutions. KOMTRAX Plus delivers cost saving information, facilitates peak machine performance, allows proactive and preventive maintenance.

Performance Monitoring

The Payload Meter (optional) is a measuring tool to identify the bucket payload. Due to the immediately shown bucket payload the operator is able to load the truck more efficient. Reduced truck loading time due to decreased required passes per truck. The payload meter system will be integrated into the KOMTRAX Plus monitoring system. Reportings on screen will show the payload history. The PLM is a helpful tool for data analysis and helps the mine manager to plan their fleets.

Customization

We offer standardized front shovel and backhoe solutions referring to a standard density of 1.8 t/m³ for our machines. In specific cases, your operation requires a solution with another bucket. Therefore we can offer you alternative bucket sizes and wear packages. Further customization possibilities are heating systems, travel gear protections, special track pad variations, color paintings and further options which you can find under optional equipment.

Maintenance

Wide walkways to the regular service points, proper platforms equipped with handrail and kickboards as well as easy access to all service points provide a high safety standard for maintenance. When we simplified the maintenance, one of the primary focuses was the accessibility and safety during servicing and the accessibility for maintenance activities. The working space in the machinery house has been extended, the first stage fuel filter has been removed into the fuel tank structure and can be reached from the machinery house easily.
